Is a quote the same as a booking?

No. A quote is a proposal before work is committed. It does not create a booking, allocate inventory or place anything on your operational calendar. Inventory is only committed when the quote is converted into a booking.

Is a quote the same as an invoice?

No. Quotes are proposals used to win work. Invoices are financial documents used to request payment after a booking exists. In Bundus they are separate records — see Invoices for booking-backed billing, payment recording and outstanding balances.

Does sending a quote reserve or hold stock?

Accepted Answer

No. Quotes never reserve inventory. Bundus can show availability warnings while you build the proposal, but stock remains available until the quote is converted into a booking. Soft-holds on sent quotes are not currently supported.

Is Quotes only for rental businesses?

No. Quotes works for both rental and any service businesses. Use inventory lines when hiring equipment, service lines for labour-based work, or combine both on the same proposal.

What does the security deposit on a quote mean?

The security deposit shown on a quote is an estimate so the customer can see the expected deposit separately from the proposal total. Deposits are only managed after the quote becomes a booking and security deposits are enabled for your account.

How does customer accept work?

Accepted Answer

Customers receive a public accept/decline link with the quote. They can accept using their typed name or decline the proposal. Accepted quotes can automatically convert into bookings, or your team can review and convert them from the dashboard.

What happens when I convert a quote?

Accepted Answer

Converting a quote creates a booking from the proposal. At this stage you can link a client, choose a booking status, create draft invoices or agreements, and begin inventory allocation and operational planning.

Can I revise a quote after sending it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Revising a sent quote creates a new draft so the original proposal remains unchanged. You can also duplicate existing quotes and use templates for recurring work.
